Dr Nenad Janicijevic - Ambassador of Humaneness

Dr Nenad Janicijevic in SUC Belgrade office Dr Nenad Janicijevic, member of Serbian Unity Congress Board, completed his visit to Serbia at the beginning of May. During his stay, Dr Janicijevic also visited Serbian Unity Congress Belgrade office, where he spoke about office functioning and its information supplying activities. Dr Janicijevic was, due to his immeasurable humanitarian work, proclaimed Serbian Ambassador of Humaneness at the gathering with the title "Meeting of Diaspora and Fatherland", recently held in the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences. In the past ten years, Dr Janicijevic organised furnishing of humanitarian aid in the amount of $100 million to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. - The Serbs who live in diaspora were praying for their brothers in the Fatherland during the whole period of 78 days of bombardment. I was praying, too...It is the holy obligation of us, the Serbs in diaspora, to help our Fatherland - said Dr Janicijevic during his stay in Belgrade. In 1995, His Holiness Pavle, Serbian Patriarch, granted to this distinguished member of Serbian Unity Congress St. Sava's Order of the First Rank, as a token of acknowledgement and gratitude for the help rendered as well as for dedication to the work.
